What's the dealio...

RANT 'O THE DAY:

I've spent a lot of the last couple months pondering why it is SO HARD to find a decent guy out there. You know, one who doesn't point out that you've gained a love handle or two; or - heaven FORBID - one who actually tells you how much you mean to them.

It's so frustrating to see those who are happy (and I'm happy for them, don't get me wrong). However, it's like putting salt in a wound to see how perfect some can be. I might make a sour face to what the latest 'cute-sy' thing it is they're doing, but 7% of my reaction is actually out of jealousy (the remaining 93% is of bitter disgust). What exactly is it that I'm doing wrong that puts me in the situation where I just want to castrate some of my man-friends? Is chivalry really actually, truely, dead? Gosh, I really hope not.

All I want to do is find someone whom I can be friends with; a person who shares the same goals and values as I do. I really don't think that it should be too hard. But apparently we live in a society where you have to date at least 2 fuckwits before finding someone worthwhile. Here's hoping the third time's a charm, otherwise I might end up alone, dead, and eaten by a wild pack of dogs.

OH EMM GEE

Through reading a friend's blog today, I stubled upon the fact that I too actually have a blog! My first (and only) post was in 2008 - and funny enough, I actually mentioned in it that I always start a journal and never follow up on it. Oops!

I also thought that nobody would EVER read it - but funny enough, someone actually left a comment!! Thanks Ms. Caddywumpus!

My first post was written while in college. Now, over two years later as a university student my issues with studying have not changed. I really do have a problem with it - I just cannot get myself to sit down and read the crap included in the overpriced collection of paper that we refer to as 'textbooks'. *Sigh*

I supposed that if I actually plan on graduating that I should figure out this little 'issue' of mine...

Anyone have any suggestions for what helped with them to buckle down on the books?
